1997 Z28 M6 daily driver build

i bought this car not running, for fairly cheap, with a good selection of aftermarket parts and quite a bit of work already done to it, but not running.

after quite a bit of diagnosis, i found that the wiring harness was mis-pinned, and the ecm had failed as a result (along with a multitude of other issues). i've been driving it ever since, but it's a constant project.

tune:

this was the test platform used to optimize the EEX tunerpro XDF, as well as study EE in general.
idles open loop, wideband 14.3:1 AFR @ 650rpm with 23 degrees of advance
softened idle timing corrections
MAF and VE tables calibrated with wideband (VE is not perfect)
WOT 12.9-13.0:1 AFR, street tuned
deleted all emissions tests and errors
timing mapped 25 to 35 degrees advance, all in at 3200, with vac advance up to 42.
o2 sensors reconfigured for relocation and volt tuned to 14.6:1 AFR
maximum knock retard reduced

deleted bump stops for wide tire clearance
deleted catalytic converter heat shielding
deleted air conditioning system and all brackets/hoses
custom midpipe welded to stock axleback exhaust
ign. sw starter circuit bypassed, push button start on center console w/ hotwire relay (always hot)
installed aluminum plate for fuel sender access in trunk
bypassed maf power direct to PCM IGN circuit
sealed optispark casing with liquid neoprene
bypassed HVAC vacuum holding canister (no heater control without car running)
custom optispark venting harness with tygon tubing and brass flow restrictor
