work log for my '88 camaro
1988 camaro TBI LO3 5-speed
TODO
- replace engine mounts (got part)
- better patch on exhaust midpipe
- install 4th gen muffler (got part)
- acquire ac delete pulley and remove compressor and wiring
- short belt around air pump and remove pump
- remove body kit for paint prep
- strip paint for paint prep
- repair drivers side t-top latch (bent pin)
- replace rear hatch struts
- replace, check, or grease all suspension bushings
- tuning
- flush coolant
May 2014
- replaced transmission mount w/ poly
- decarbonized intake manifold and tbi unit
- cleaned and tested EGR valve
- removed air injection plumbing
- installed leftover stereo
- deleted headliner and other misc. interior plastics
- removed leftover electrical from nonfunctional alarm system
June 2014
- replaced all dash light bulbs
- added manual fan override switch below dimmer switch
- bypassed stock temperature sender
- installed 220f fan switch in thermostat housing
- de-pinned inop trunk lock tumbler
- delted air conditioning condenser and all related plumbing
- replaced battery with combo side/top post
- custom battery hold-down
- replaced all high amp wiring and grounds to battery
- removed stock low amperage junction block and rewired to bat post
- replaced EGR solenoid (used 4th gen solenoid)
- replaced all vac lines for EGR
- replaced EGR pigtail
- repaired bent TBI injector pins
- clean up passenger side engine harness
- replace alternator high amp wiring
July 2014
- repaired oil leak @ intake bolt
- replaced drivers side lower door pin, but bushings are wrong size
